The Maury County School System has released the personnel file for its former teacher Tad Cummins, who is accused of running away with a 15-year-old female student of his.
Tennessee Watchdog obtained the file through an open records request via Tennessee’s Public Records Act.
According to the Columbia Daily Herald, “Cummins has been charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual expolitation of a minor.”
In the 57 page file, which you can read by clicking here, Cummins writes that he holds 65 song copyrights. He also describes his time as an interim youth pastor, how he didn’t originally think teaching was his destiny, and how he mentored troubled teenage boys at a wilderness boot camp.
The file also includes a March 14 letter from Superintendent Christopher J. Marczak informing Cummins that he is terminated from his job.
